449 was the code number of the iconic Metallic Sports Blue color. The golden details such as the Speedline type-2109 rims and the specific badges and interior trim. The muscled F7P 1800cc engine from its brother 16S was converted into F7R, delivering around 2000cc. A specific chassis setup had some parts directly from the Clio Cup and an even more sportive tuning than the 16S. The Clio Williams was a landmark on a - already - super interesting Era of Hot Hatches. Released in 93, turned to be an 'instant classic' by itself. Actually, Renault Sport needed just 2500 units to make a Homologation Special, but they knew from the beginning that the Williams would be a huge success. With around 13000 units made until 95, the first 4500 of them were numbered. Its F1 heritage mixed up with a spot-on Rally style with a delicious chassis and handling, make all of us inspired to be little Jean-Ragnotti's during those times. The Williams is a stated old-timer, a true classic icon and a time capsule of fun, enjoyment and pure FWD - three-wheeler bend shredder style - driving pleasure provider.
