There’s something quite uncanny about the approach the French use on their cars, they’re not known for powerful engines, or for their sports cars and you’ll be hard pressed to find any French car on a list of top speed or fastest accelerating cars and yet, between these three manufacturers, they have churned out a total of 80 rally cars, 8 of them Group B monsters, 6 WRC cars and 14 WRC championship wins, France is the manufacturing nation with most WRC wins. If you look closer, you can see that for the past 50 years, there has been a long string of intricately tuned vehicles, with outstanding competence when it comes to taking corners flatout. No one really knows how they do it or why it is so focused on just one nation, we’re pretty chuffed they do though, and let’s hope they don’t stop anytime soon!
