SAVE THE MULTIPLA | SWEATSHIRT
In the automotive world, how difficult, or gratifying, can it be, to be the irrefutable best at something? There’s always a monopoly-toned scuffle when discussing which car is fastest or best looking, but it’s commonly known that everyone agrees on which is the ugliest, but, what is ugly, and what makes the Fiat Multipla king? Is it ugly to risk manufacturing something as unconventional as it is practical, or to boldly defy road users to interpret a product that challenges beauty as a standard? Can something so outlandish even be considered ugly? And can we as humans accept, that just like us, not everything needs to bear the same beauty? Take away the aesthetics, and the Multipla delivers more. Although it can seat six people, it’s smaller than a mk7 Ford Fiesta and lighter than a Hyundai i30N, and while six different engines were made available, all shared the same mounting points as the 220 bhp 5-cyl 20v Turbo found in the Fiat Coupé wink. If that’s not reason enough to bring these back, I don’t know what is!
