Design is a funny thing isn't it? You're never really sure when something is pushing the envelope, or when it doesn't make much sense, sometimes it doesn't even have to work, just be bold enough to push your perception of what you may find pleasing. BMWs have always had a very clear design language, even if you hate to admit it, the Bangle years were a great success in provocative design terms, and now we have this second gen M4 to gawk at.

Automotive design used to flow off the pencil of one designer, then a design team and more recently a design department, we guess it shows what happens when too many people want to make a mark on one product. We take this opportunity to praise the Heritage this new 4er has to shoulder, looking back, it's got quite large shoes to fill.
